This model comes as two parts; body and turret.
The Sdkfz 251 was the Hanomag halftrack armoured personnel carrier which served in all theatres throughout the war. The 251 came in at least 22 different configurations with four variants, Ausf(uhrung) A, B, C, & D for different roles.
This model is the 251 Ausf D/23 which was a reconnaissance vehicle designed to replace the Sd.Kfz. 250/9. The turret contains a 20mm QF autocannon.
