The Universal Carrier was a British carrier developed off the original Carden Lloyd carriers. They were built between 1934 and 1960 and saw wide service by British Commonwealth forces during WWII.

The Universal carrier was introduced in 1940 to replace previous models of Bren Gun Carrier. It was used to transport men and equipment and carried a variety of guns,. Bren, Boyes anti-tank as well as other machine gun types.

It weighed around 3 tons and was 12 feet long. Around 113,000 were built.

This is the Wasp flame thrower version of the carrier. 100 gallons of fuel were carried in two tanks in the rear of the vehicle. Some 1,000 models of the Wasp were built.
