The Hippo was a 6x4 heavy general purpose truck. It was manufactured between 1929 and 1969. The MkI was used from the beginning of the war. In 1944 the MKII was introduced and around 1,000 saw service by the end of the war.
The truck was pretty big, the 1/56 version is over 146mm in length.

A fabulously detailed model in 1/144 of this beasty truck, very crisp molding with very little work to be done before cracking on with painting all that detail, superb!
