The Hippo was a 6x4 heavy general purpose truck. It was manufactured between 1929 and 1969. The MkI was used from the beginning of the war. In 1944 the MKII was introduced and around 1,000 saw service by the end of the war.
The truck was pretty big, the 1/56 version is over 146mm in length.

I bought two of these in resin for my late war British.
These models are absolutely first class. Minimal clean up, just a few supports to remove, and come as a one piece print so there is no assembly required.
Highly recommend them.
