I get lots of my designs from Kickstarter. The designers often offer a commercial licence version which allows me to print and sell the models released in the Kickstarter campaign.

In May 2023, I signed up for a set of 28mm Afrika Korps figures by a designer who goes by the name of Idawoj. I have to say they are some of the finest 28mm figures I have. There is a vast array of figures to flesh out your North Africa campaign.

These are some of the nicest WWII prints I’ve seen

Apart from the expected array of riflemen, machine gunners, officers, snipers, there are also 3-man MG teams, mortar teams, medics and stretcher-bearers, together with a couple of nurses. You can have radio operators and engineers. A whole diverse set of figures. You even get a choice of helmet or tropical hat for lots of the poses.

The sculpts are well detailed with good folds in the uniform items and nice detail on the weapons.

All in all a wonderful set of figures. I’ve got all mine printed, I just need to find the time to paint them up!
